Overall, Tokyo Curry is recognized for quality ingredients, thoughtful presentation, and a strong reputation as one of Taipei’s best curry spots.
Splendid curry that I’ve ever had in Taipei, their curry sauce is composed of different vegetables, price is higher than ordinary one however ends up worthing it Recommend the beef one and please do make sure you order the rice with omelette!! All the dishes come with a small bowl of salad and either their daily soup or a drink If you like hot and spicy food, do ask the counter for their specialized chili sauce. Careful! A little bit at a time, it is very strong but brings the curry into a bright new level
I'm certain that this is the best curry in Taiwan. I've tried over a dozen other places in the city and this one is the best. I got the fried fish curry. It comes as a set for NT$296. The set includes a salad and drink (tea of coffee). Curry: Thick and full of flavor. It has a hint of sweetness mixed in. If you like it spicy, they also provide hot sauce. Hot Sauce: The chef asked if I wanted hot sauce, I said yes. She neatly placed some in a small container and handed it to me, looked me in the eye, and said "Be careful. It's very spicy." Whoa, was she right. The hot sauce has a thick consistency, almost like a curry. I mixed it in with the curry and it was the kick of spiciness that I wanted. Fried Fish: Super crispy and flaky on the outside while still being juicy on the inside. Absolutely perfect. Rice: The rice was good at up to par with the best curry restaurants. The rice was also topped with a few fried onion pieces which added an additional flavor and texture to the rice. Salad: It was okay. It was lettuce, dressing and one cherry tomato. This was not my focus for this meal. Tea: I got it cold with no sugar. They offered to add sugar but I declined. Service: Nice, polite and very attentive (although I was the only one there because they just opened). Menu: Only one menu is available, but it's in Chinese, English and Japanese. Price: The whole set was 296NTD. For Taipei, it's a little on the high side. That won't stop me from coming here again.
High quality of curry flavor. They prepared it properly and i knew how they about to serve it. Not many word to say but it is good. Price point start from 360nt up. They also have alcohol drink and beer. You can see all the work because its bar style restsurant. Quite tiny but comfortable
Nice Japanese curry shop. I ordered the omlette katsu curry and chose the A lunch set which comes with salad and a drink. Everything was really good, but my only complaint would be that the curry sauce was a little bit too sweet for me. Nice interior and friendly staff. I'd love to try the beef steak curry sometime, it looked really good.
A small place with delicious food and great staff. There are 8 seats at a bar. Very good English is spoken and payments are possible via Apple Pay. Be sure to try the hot sauce and order a cold beer or delicious milk tea!
Tokyo curry and bar has one of the best curries I’ve had, ever. The sauce is rich, savory and sweet, so good. It’s about 300-400 per head for a set so definitely not the cheapest place. Would recommend if you have a curry craving!
I had been walking past it while staying in Taipei for a week and decided to try it out of curiosity and what a great decision it was! I ordered a katsu chicken curry with omelette. Curry was sooooo tasty! Creamy and full of flavour and didn't feel too heavy. Staff could speak some english and ordering via QR code made things very easy. I would definitely go back again! At the moment they only accept cash so bring cash just in case .
